On May 24, 2024 my girlfriend and I embarked on a car camping trip to Bat Cave NC, close to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. I carried along my Zoom H1n to record some of the waterfalls we were going to visit and a few other events.
In this composition there are recordings from the stream near to the campsite, cooking, Getting caught in a thunderstorm under the awning of my SUV, and some really cool waterfalls in Brevard NC and the Pisgah National Forest.
Looking back now I wish I would have recorded a lot more sounds and moments but I guess the most important part is that I was able to experience it all. I would like to start creating more of these Field Recordings as a type of audio journal.
