Some people collect shoes, some people collect baseball cards, and some people collect knives. I enjoy knives and love collecting them. Recently I wanted to buy a more traditional pocket knife to add to my collection, mainly a Case knife. They are made in Bradford Pennsylvania and have a heritage here in the U.S and have many styles and models to choose from. I have a friend that buys his son a case knife each year and they collect them together, as well as many others that I know who carry these knives. I needed to find out for myself.

For those that know of Georgia Adventurer and Richter Knives, they are YouTubers that I enjoy watching and trust their reviews on traditional pocket knives. They had mentioned quite a few times about the mini coppelcok and it drew my attention. I have an old general store that is right down the road from where I grew up in Hallsboro NC called Pierce And Co. They have a large assortment of Case knives to choose from and the environment on the inside is that of a small town general store with a meat department and butcher, homemade goods, and over 120 years of serving my hometown. What a great place to purchase a lifetime knife that I can pass down in my older years.

The Case Mini Copperlock is extremely sharp right out of the box. The persimmon orange bone looks rich in color and has a nice purchase in the hand with no hot spots. Open the blade and you hear that classic Case snap. The blade is centered with no issues that I could see and beautifully shiny, and the stainless bolsters and bone transition smoothly together for a nice finish. Just a beautiful knife.

I have been taking it with me as a food prep knife for the kitchen. It has worked great cutting up peppers and fruit. I also used it to carve some pork belly and to remove some fat from chicken thighs and it cuts through it all like butter.

My Leatherman is still my every day carry but this one will go into my pocket from time to time. Knives are works of art for me, I enjoy collecting these tools and enjoy finding ways to use them.
