Crab & Andouille Sausage Chowder

A few years ago I was looking for a crab chowder to make when we had a winter storm coming through. I searched Pinterest and found one that looked fairly easy and throughout the years I’ve changed things and added ingredients to eventually make it my own. This is what I’ve come up with…

1 pack of Imitation Crab Meat

1 pack of Andouille Sausage

2 cups of Quartered Potatoes

1 can of Sweet corn

1 cup of Chicken Stock

1 pint of Heavy Cream, add more to thicken up consistency

1 quart of Whole Milk

1 to 2 branches of Rosemary

Your Choice of cheese to add on top

Salt and Pepper to taste

Be careful adding salt because you gain a lot of sodium from the crab and sausage. I usually add very little salt while I’m cooking but ultimately wait until I make my own serving to add salt and pepper. Totally up to you.

This is easy to make and doesn’t really take that long. It’s great for cold weather and is even better warmed back up the next day.

Hope you enjoy.
